One Day Left!!
<-- Hannah with her hair frazzled from playing so much at Bible School!
Tomorrow is the last day of Bible School. We have had fun, but we are very tired. Hannah has had the best naps this week! Normally Hannah really loves going to her Sunday School class, but I think she is ready for a break. Last night my mom was trying to get Hannah into the tub and she said, "come on we have to get in bed so that you can go to your class tomorrow!" "No, I doesn't want to," she said. "Dey're tlosed tomorrow!"
Sorry I haven't updated more lately, but we have come home and crashed each day. Then I've had to get busy getting ready for the next day! But...normal activities will resume shortly! Thank goodness! Now I remember why I didn't want to go back to work! I don't know how working mothers do it! I lack the energy! Plus, I can't handle getting Hannah and myself ready that early everyday! Since Hannah isn't really into getting up early I would take her clothes with us and dress her once we got to church and she slept on the way there. Well, Monday I forgot to grab Hannah's shoes...she went barefooted all day. Tuesday I got to church and got side tracked right away and it was almost time for the worship rally to begin and I realize that Hannah was running around the sanctuary in her gown and robe! Wednesday...forgot her shoes again...dumb me! Amazingly, today we made it...shoes, clothes, bow in hair and everything (although the bow never lasts long, but that's not my fault!). I went in to get her this morning and she wasn't in the bed. She had climbed into the tub with Maw Maw! So she was actually dressed when we arrived! Oh well, don't mind me, my mind isn't functioning as normal this week! One more day!!

Vacation Bible School
...here we come! Next week is Vacation Bible School at our church and we have been busy all week trying to get ready. Really I've been trying to get ready for it for some time now, but preparations have hit an all time high this week! So if suddenly you notice that posts have become very sporadic, hold on, they should resume as usual very soon! On top of that, I have been trying to figure out what to do for Hannah's birthday that is coming up a week from Sunday! I can't believe that my BABY will be three years old in just over a week! I'm SAD! She is growing up way to fast!
Today I was singing that rhyming name song to her, you know the one that goes Hannah Hannah bo bannah banana fannah fo fannah me my mo mannah, Hannah...or something like that. Anyway everytime I would sing her name at the end of the song she would just pop out laughing! Then tonight on the way to dinner she kept singing Hannah fo fannah, Hannah fo fannah, Hannah fo fannah...and on and on and on!
So now that that song is stuck in your head too and you are going to be singing it all day now, I will go to bed!
You're welcome! Hee hee!

I'm Goin' To Bed!
Today has been a very long day and I don't know if it is because we didn't get out of the house or what but, I am ready for the day to be over! Hannah didn't take a nap today and she was very grumpy and uncooperative for most of the late afternoon and evening. I was
counting down the days that I had left in this "terrific two" stage until someone informed me tonight that it doesn't magically disappear on their third birthday! Talk about disappointment! For the most part Hannah is a pretty good little girl but, she definitely has her days and today was one of them. If I said, "no," she said, "yes!" If I told her yes, she told me no! If I told her to pick up her toys, I may as well have told the toys to jump into the toybox themselves, I would have gotten an equal response! I thought to myself, maybe she doesn't hear well and you should have her hearing checked...then I had an idea...I could check it myself, so I did a little test. I whispered three little words...Toys R Us! It was amazing...her hearing is fine! Then I thought maybe I expect too much after all she is only 2 (granted she will be 3 in less than two weeks) but, then I remembered...she is smart and
children will deliver only what is expected of them...I expect her to mind me! I tried reasoning with her to no avail...have you ever tried to reason with a toddler?
So I say, tomorrow is a new day...a new day that involves Hannah having a nap...and maybe I'll feel better if I have a nap too!

Happy Father's Day!
I know I should have posted this yesterday or the day before but, like I said...we were out of town and when we got home I was exhausted from driving about 6 hours in the rain! Sorry Honey!
Anyway, so I've read everyone else's blogs about how they all think they have the best daddy and so on and so forth but, I happen to disagree with every else! I think we have the best daddy living at our house and I feel pretty sure that Hannah would agree! I could go on and list all the wonderful things that Mr. Wonderful does but, I doubt I have that much space on blogger!
Happy Father's Day, Joey! Hannah and I love you very much!
Hannah sings, "I love my daddy, yes I do! His name is Joey like a baby kangaroo! I love my daddy 'cause he is so cool! I love my daddy and he loves me too!

Bust A Move!
So it's been a few days since I posted last. We went to Louisiana for the weekend for my aunt and uncle's 50th wedding anniversary. We had a lot of fun and at the party Hannah danced for 4 hours straight! When we first arrived at the party Joey was taking Hannah around and showing her the city from the windows of the top floor of the building we were in and after they had looked out all of the windows, he pointed to the dance floor and said, "this is the dance floor, it's where you dance!" "Oh, otay," she said, "put me down, I want to dance!" And I kid you not the child danced the entire evening. The only time she stopped was when I made her come eat (which she didn't do well), then long enough for the couple of honor to have a dance and then for about 5 minutes towards the end of the evening to have a piece of cake and a drink! The rest of the time she was dancing. And the few times that I did make her stop, she begged the entire time to get back out there. Before we went to the party, I decided that I wouldn't bother with my camera because I figured there would be plenty of people there taking pictures...now I wish I had some pictures of her dancing the night away! She even has blisters on her poor little feet! What was great about it was that she was well entertained. I didn't have to spend the evening running around chasing her...it was like a built in play pen!

Why It Is Important To Talk To Your Children...
about what they learned in Sunday School. Hannah went to Sunday School on Sunday and learned that, "Jonas got bit by a whale and then he went to buy some ninis!" Now she should really know that JONAH (who is also called Jonas so I'll give her that one) wouldn't go to NINEVEH therefore he was SWALLOWED by a whale! However after he repented and agreed to go to NINEVEH he was spewed from the belly of the whale but, I highly doubt he bought ninis in NINEVEH!

How long does it take to go from this...
One year, seven months for Hannah. The first picture was taken in April of 2004 and if it wasn't the first time, it was one of the first times that I put a bow in her hair. I think it was attached to about 3 strands of hair but, I promise it was in her hair. When I came home tonight and saw Hannah's hair hanging in her face, I couldn't help but, remember when she had none! I loved her little head then and I love her curls now...strange how that is. Right now she is pretending to be a doctor and she is doctoring her daddy. She has her bubble toys and she is tormenting Joey with them by scratching, poking and hammering him! Oooo, she just shoved the bubble wand up his nose! Ouch! I think the session is over!
Speaking of her daddy, it appears that I may have a little competition on my hands. When asked if she had a boyfriend, my cousin's
little girl (4 years old) said, "yes". When they inquired who it was she said, "Joey!" He is a pretty good catch! Good choice Anna!

2 Sugars & Cream Please...
It is odd that a child Hannah's age would drink coffee. And not that she just drinks it, she drinks it like it's water! No sipping involved...well, except for effect anyway! And in June for cryin' out loud! I don't know where the child got her taste buds. Tomatoes and coffee? This is not my child! If I hadn't been there for the delivery, I might really question it.
Today I was putting Hannah's shoes and socks on her and she looked at me and said, "mama, yer tillin' me!" Perhaps when I'm frustrated with her I should refrain from telling her that she's killing me! It's crazy how the things you say come back to haunt you!
In other news...I had mentioned a while back that I would be having a test run towards the end of May on my heart. Well, I had the test run two weeks ago Friday and went in to the doctor's office that afternoon with the understanding that I would be getting the results then. I don't know why I ever thought I would actually get
the results that day because of course they didn't have the results that day...they didn't get the results until this morning...over two weeks later! I will spare you my venting and just let you know that I find this ridiculous in the year 2006! Anyway, if you recall this is the test that tells me if I am eligible for a heart transplant and if my "magic" number is 14 or below, I am eligible and if it is above 14, I am not sick enough to need a transplant. My hope was that I would no longer be eligible (cause I don't really care for a transplant, thank you!) and my numbers the times before were 11.3 the first time and 13.something the second. Well, do you want to know what it was this time? Nah, I think you want to wait two weeks like I had to!!!
Just kidding, it was 16.3! Yay, no transplant for me!

Tonight we went to eat with Hannah's Meme and Papa at P.F. Chang's. Yummmmm! I love P.F. Chang's. I am so full, I could pop! Afterwards Hannah wanted Meme and Papa to come over and play at her house for a little while and after she twisted their arms (not!) they agreed to it. The outfit Hannah is wearing has flamingos on it. When we were shopping at Dillard's yesterday Hannah saw that dress and had to have a dress with "pink damingos" on it. She also found one with ballerina slippers that she had to have. I agreed pretty easily to them because they both had bows on them! I'm not so sure Joey was as impressed with more
new clothes. Oh well, he does think she is cute in them!
I love this picture of Hannah. You can't tell her daddy loves to play with her, can you? And...I bet you can't tell she loves for her daddy to play with her either! You can really see how her hair has gotten pretty long...well compared to how long it was about 6 months to a year ago. I don't care if she is mine, she's adorable! Sometimes I sit there struck by how cute she is and wonder how I got so lucky!
Today Hannah ate about 6 tomatoes from one of her plants. Never fear, they were cherry tomatoes, tiny ones! We were outside watering the plants and I pulled them off of the vine and rinsed them in the water hose and she chowed down! It was hilarious because I asked her if they were good after her first one and she said, "uh huh," as she shoved another in her mouth.

Does That Count As A Fruit?
Hannah is really into fruit roll ups these days. She has begged for one the past few days and we were out. Tonight when she went to the store with Maw Maw they bought two boxes of them. Red ones! So far tonight Hannah has had three of them. When she brought a fourth in, I had to say no! Which didn't set well with her, she began crying. She still has a little bit of a cough from her cold left and when she began to cry, I guess she had drainage in the back of her throat because her voice cracked. She got a funny look on her face and said, "sometin's wong wit my cry!"

Princess Hannah And Her Glass Slippers
O.k. so they're wooden shoes but, she thinks they are princess shoes! Hannah's Meme and Papa just came back from their trip to Amsterdam and some other European places. They brought Hannah back a pair of wooden shoes (among other things) and she has been playing with the shoes all night.
Tonight Hannah came and got in front of me and with the sweetest look on her face (I swear I saw a halo above her little blonde head) and said, "this is de pwincess, you wanna tome dance wit de pwincess?" Who can resist that??? So...I danced with the princess tonight and what a lovely dance!

Hannah's Secret...Part 2
This morning Hannah called me into my bedroom where she was supposed to be sitting on the bed watching Little Einstein while I got ready. Sticking her tongue out with a look of disgust on her face she said, "wipe it opf!" When I asked her what was in her mouth she pointed to the stick of deodorant sitting on the bed. She ate it! Poison control said not to worry that the most I would see is vomiting, if I saw even that. It's like eating a bar of soap. Grrroooossssss! I don't think I have to worry about her eating it again anytime soon. She was not impressed with the taste. The good thing is that now I know that the number to poison control is 1-800-222-1222...should the need to call arise anytime again soon!
On another note...now Hannah comes up to me with that angelic grin on her face, holding whatever behind her back and says to me, "don't say what I have!" In other words...don't ask me what is behind my back...I'm hiding it for a reason!

Hannah's Newest Thing
Hannah has a new thing now where she will sneak off and get into something that she knows she isn't supposed to be into. When she returns from her little adventure she stands right beside me with her hands behind her back (usually holding some sort of evidence) and smiles like an angel!
I just want to know one thing ... who taught her that?
