Then on the way to lunch Monday I asked Hannah if she wanted to go get her ears pierced. Fully expecting her usual response of, "maybe tomorrow I will." But what does she say? "Oh, o.k. maybe I'll try to do it today." And she did. My baby sat up there on the chair and hardly blinked when they pierced her ears. I should just tell you that she is some proud of herself. She has high heel shoes, a loose tooth and earrings!!
It's like you blink and they're grown! I'm not sure how much more I can handle.

As a pastor's wife, I've missed around 6 church Mother's Days - all in a row, with 1 year reprieve tucked between years 4 and 5 - with my children being sick, or having to go to the airport for an overseas flight or graduation from college... always something! I'm really hoping that I can be in church on Mother's Day in 2009!
